FREEDOM FROM SIN: WALKING IN THE ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS

  Romans 4:7-8 (KJV):

Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.”

From this powerful scripture, we understand that our sins are indeed forgiven. But if our sins are forgiven, why do we continue to worry about them? Listen carefully to the followings...!

1. The Provision of Forgiveness Is Complete

Every sin ever committed has already been forgiven through the death of Jesus Christ. This forgiveness is the provision that covers all past sins and not any further sin. Please take note of this.

Romans 6:1-2 (KJV):

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”

If you have received Jesus into your heart, the sins of your past have no power over you anymore. But walking in the newness of that is a must because there may be no abounding grace to cushion the effects of any further sins according to the above sighted scripture.

John 8:36 (KJV):

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

2. Learn To Let Go Of The Burden Of Past Sins

Hear this clearly: the sins of your past are completely forgiven because Christ paid a matchless price for you. Holding on to forgiven sins keeps you in bondage and blocks the blessings God has for you.

When you cling to what God has already removed, you keep God away from your life. Don’t hold on to any burden God has taken away. Let go of that bondage and walk in the freedom Christ has given you.

3. There Is An Assurance Of Forgiveness And Victory

Colossians 2:13-15 (KJV):

“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

The Apostle Paul clearly explains in the Bible with a full assurance that the bondage of sin has been removed completely. Having this God's inspired assurance through Paul, why then should we retain it? Please understand that holding on to an already forgiven sin is like retaining a defeated enemy that is invariably relicensed  without knowing, to buffet and hinder both your spiritual and physical progress.

4. Understand The Complete Defeat Of Satan

Isaiah 14:12-17 (KJV):

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!... That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?”

Satan is defeated, and his power to hold you captive is broken. Halalujah 🙌!!!

5. You Are A New Creature In Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV):

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

It is so vital to live daily in the consciousness that your old sinful nature is gone if truly you are in Christ Jesus, except otherwise.

6. Be Sure To Walk In Your Freedom Boldly

My brother, my sister, I urge you to walk confidently in the freedom Christ has given you. Tell Satan, the accuser of the brethren face to face to get behind you and be bound with chain in hell forever.

You that is born of God, can I tell you this? God is on your side. He loves you, cares about you, and He is mindful of you. He is always ready to help you, and things are turning around for your good now in Jesus Precious Name. Amen 🙏!!!

Hallelujah!
