Fruitfulness is one of God's foremost desires for all, including you. God longs to see us thrive and remain productive in every area of life. We must understand that God takes pleasure in our fruitfulness, for it is through our abundance His name is glorified. God Himself is a fruitful God, and everything that comes from Him is expected to reflect that same fruitfulness.
Genesis 1:27-28 [NLT]
[27] So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
[28] Then God blessed them and said, Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.
The scripture quoted made it clear that from creation, God blessed and commanded us to be fruitful. Anything contrary to this brings no joy to God. Barrenness does not bring Him glory. It is important to recognize that whatever is not bringing glory to God is an enemy to Him. God wants His name to be magnified in the lives His has given. If God is never barren, then neither should we be, for His life flows in our veins. Fruitfulness is our heritage in Christ; it is our birthright, for the Scriptures cannot be broken.
Choose To Be Fruitful. It's An Expression Of Your Birthright In God
Fruitfulness is a choice. God will never force it on any being. The blessing of fruitfulness is available, but to be taken by anyone that so desires and believes.
Deuteronomy 30:19 [NLT]
[19] Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!
This is God speaking, declaring that He has given us the power to choice! Hallelujah! He is a good God. We have been wired to be fruitful and have been given the opportunity to be by choice. Knowing this truth is key to anyone's fruitfulness. God has no problem bringing into physical reality what He has already made available spiritually. The acceptance of the spiritual availability is the faith we need and the desire for the physical manifestation is the work we have to do. Both of them happen by choice.
What then is this "faith and work" if you choose to be fruitful? Let's carefully examine the following scriptures:
John 15:5-8 [NLT]
[5] Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing." [6] Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. [7] But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!" [8] When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
Look at verse 5 again: "Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit..."
That is exactly the requirement: to remain in Christ Jesus, and to remain in His words. Abiding faithfully in Him and in His words will make anything barren to become fruitful. This is what He says we should do if we desire fruitfulness. The faith is to stay completely in Him to see what He has given. While the work is to doing what He says to receive what He has given. Praise God!
John 2:5 [NLT]
[5] But his mother told the servants, "Do whatever he tells you".
If you abide in Jesus and do what He says from His Word, no devil can challenge or stop your fruitfulness. What God says stands; billions of demons in hell cannot stop it. God is glorified in our fruitfulness and much more glorified in our response to His commandments. Our obedience to His commands is sufficient to bring fruitfulness in all aspects of life.
Can I tell you something? God means what He says and says what He means. It is impossible for God to lie or for His words to return unproductive. Never!
Numbers 23:19 [NLT]
[19] God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
Isaiah 55:10-11 [NLT]
[10] "The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry." [11] It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it."
Hallelujah! Glory be to God!
I believe you are gaining deep understanding from this message, and also getting blessed. Without doubt, I can perceive that you are being inspired already to delve deeper into the knowledge of the scriptures and meditate on them, to further apply them as required for your undeniable fruitfulness.
Isaiah 34:16 [NLT]
[16] Search the book of the LORD, and see what he will do. Not one of these birds and animals will be missing, and none will lack a mate, for the LORD has promised this. His Spirit will make it all come true.
There are no shortcuts to becoming what God has created you for. It is strictly by application. If you must become it, apply the all the requirements. Things comply readily when the mechanism that befits them is applied. The mechanism for overcoming barrenness and embracing fruitfulness is the consistent application of God's Word.
My Prayer For Fruitfulness And Encouragement For You Is...
By the divine power and the truth of God's Word, I declare fruitfulness over every area of your life. May the Spirit of Jesus empower you to abide in God, to obey His commands, and to see His promises manifest abundantly in and around you. Let barrenness be broken, and let God's glory be revealed in your life. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
