RIDING THE STORM TO GOD-PREPARED GLORIOUS PLACES

The prevailing power of the storm in any life is like the wind that can be ridden to God-prepared glorious places. Life is full of storms, and often, they can be fearsome. However, there is always a unique surface within these storms that anyone can stand on and rise above.

It is important to understand that every life storm comes with a surface that offers safe landing—if only it can be recognized. Or let me say, if God opens our eyes to see this landing surface. No genuine child of God ever sinks in storms because of the revealed floating grace of God that is always available and sufficient. This grace is Jesus living in us to strengthening and turns storms around, guiding us safely to better places.

Looking At Noah’s Story: A Picture of Floating Grace

Take Noah, for example. He had the floating grace of Jesus in the form of the Ark. Amid the flooding winds, he and his household floated safely. The Ark was a God-revealed strategic strength that Noah saw and took advantage of. Meanwhile, the same floodwaters destroyed everything else on earth.

What do you see in the storm that seems to overwhelm you? Listen carefully: storms are inevitable around God's people. They don’t decrease or disappear until their purpose is fulfilled. Every storm’s assignment is to carry God's own to their destined places.

For God, the storms around His people's lives are meant to take them to glorious places He has prepared. Remember, Noah’s Ark rested on the mountains of Ararat, a glorious place where God made a covenant and pronounced eternal blessings (Genesis 8:4, 8:20-22, 9:1, 8-17). Until God's people arrive at their own “mountain of Ararat,” the storms will not cease.

Getting To Understand the Purpose of Storms

Storms are not meant to harm any God's own but to convey them to their resting places. So, if you belong to Jesus, never be troubled by any storm, but focus on the victory that comes after mart. God is the master planner who knows the end from the beginning. Every storm He allows is a leverage to His people next best levels.

But however, storms become dangerous only when an individual or people are not in Christ. Everything that was left outside the Ark during Noah’s time was destroyed (Genesis 7:23). Noah and his family survived because they found God the epitome of grace through the Ark.

Please be careful to ask yourself.. "Is Jesus with you in your current storm"? Otherwise, survival is uncertain. If Jesus is or becomes your boat in the storms of life, your safe landing is guaranteed.
