The Reality of Tribulation
John 16:33 (KJV):
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Every person born of a woman is liable to face battles in one way or another. Battles are undeniable and visit daily. In fact, some people fight battles from the moment they wake up until they go to bed, only to wake up and continue the fight.
Job 14:1 (KJV):
“Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.”
The Source of Battles: Sin and God’s Interest
Battles are like visiting arrows from Satan, who shows no respect for persons. However, every arrow Satan sends is by invitation—either through sinful acts or because God has a special interest in a person.
John 14:30 (KJV):
“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”
This scripture explains how Satan searched for sin in Jesus but found none.
Job 1:9-10 (KJV):
“Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.”
This passage shows how Satan visited Job because God’s interest was upon him.
Two Major Attractions for Satan’s Battles
Satan’s battles come from two main attractions:
Sinful Acts: Those living in sin attract battles because sin opens doors to the enemy.
God’s Interest: Those whom God has a special purpose for also attract battles because Satan seeks to stop God’s plans.
No one can escape involvement in one of these two. As some say, “Satan is after you because he has seen your star.” But any battle Satan launches against a person of God’s interest is a defeated battle before it even arrives.
Victory Is Assured for God’s People
No one in God’s heart loses battles. Those who lose battles are those still in sin. Until they repent and turn to Jesus, they continue fighting and losing. Satan loses every battle when sins are confessed and forsaken.
God is the ultimate victory giver and supreme judge. He fights our battles if we allow Him.
Exodus 14:14 (KJV):
“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
This scripture strikes fear in Satan because his chance of winning any battle against God’s people is zero.
Stand Firm and Rejoice in Victory
No matter the kind of battle arrow Satan sends your way, it will never prosper if you stand right with God. God has organized our victory in Christ and His Word. We must not allow Satan to rob us of our sure victory.
God is eager to see you celebrate. The victory you have long awaited has come in Jesus’ name!
Rejoice and be glad, for Satan is the loser here. He has lost the battles over you and your household forever.
Final Blessing
Remain richly blessed of God. PEACE!
